22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. (Mark 11:22-25)
This here is a familiar Faith passage that many have heard, and honestly the key to the power of the God kind of Faith. In verse 22 Jesus is responding to one of His disciples Peter in regards to a problem they witnessed prior with the fig tree not producing in a time of harvest season. And it’s so amazing how Jesus sees the problem and ONLY declares the answer. This is the first lesson we can learn from the Lord when it comes to the God kind of Faith. The God kind of Faith ONLY speaks the solution to the problem and never gives any verbal attention to the problem itself.
You may be thinking “okay I got it, but how do we find out the actual solution to speak to the problem”? Good question, in John 12 and other places in the Word, Jesus explains how “He only say what the Father commands Him to speak”. So this informs us that we have to be in communication with the Father to receive the words to speak to our mountain.
Another lesson we can learn from the Lord in this passage is when we receive the Words to say to our mountain/problem, we must not doubt. Jesus was fully persuaded in the command he declared over that tree, so much so, He went on about His business even though nothing happened immediately. Often times, God’s Word spoken into existence does not come to pass right then, but as long as we are persuaded and convinced that His Word has final say, truly believing in our heart, then it will eventually come to pass.
The third lesson we can learn from the Lord in this passage, is having a forgiving heart when we are requesting the Promises and will of God to come to pass and speaking to the mountain in our life. Verse 25 says “when you stand praying”, which once again implies that it may not come to pass immediately but as you continue to believe for the solution of God’s Word to manifest in the natural realm, you must do so with a forgiving heart. Because God can’t fully release His Blessings and forgive you until you fully forgive those who have sinned against you.
Jesus let us know that we can have the God kind of Faith. However, that Faith speaks those things that be not with no doubt or unforgiveness in its heart. So, let us judge ourselves by evaluating our Faith and making sure it’s the God kind!!!
